Oh, as a side note, my sunroof is now busted. The windshield top rubber trip flew off at 60MPH and smacked the right plastic piece that holds up the sunroof (it was open at the time). Anybody know how easy/hard it is to fix the sunroof mechanism, or should I just replace it with a piece of removable carbon fiber?

My sunroof had an altercation with a slow opening garage door....

You can not buy the individual pieces of the sunroof mechanism. Saturn sells the sunroof in three parts. The motor, assembly and glass. You will probably need a new assembly to fix your problem. Brand new they are over $200.

But you are in luck! I have a used assembly (not the broken one from the pic) that I could sell you much cheaper.

Let me know.

Cha!! I definitely want to fix it. (Though I may still make a CF plug for it, just for coolness, and the glass weighs like eleventybillion pounds)

You have to pull down the headliner to replace this, correct? *groan*

If your glass is in good shape you can reuse it. The assembly itself (no glass, no motor) only weights 4-5 pounds. There are 3 torqe screws on each side of the sunroof that holds the glass to the assembly. You can see them from the inside of the car. They are also used to adjust the glass in the proper position.

Unfortunatly yes.. But its not TOO bad. You need to disconnect the front a piller covers and the rear "c?" piller covers and the sun visors. Its not horrible. Im sure you can handle it.

That's about what I thought. I did wind up removing the glass on mine to get the mechanism to go back down, then put the glass back in and leveled it. I will definitely want to talk to you about getting the mechanism, and if/when I get that done, I'll do a how-to video.

Morning guys.

FSM I need to get my car tuned soon. You need to get off your butt and buy a wideband. I'm starting the nitrous install this weekend......

Good for you! Which kit did you wind up going with? And how's the new clutch? I will get a wideband as soon as I can afford it, I promise!
