Im working with a 2007 ION Redline LSJ P12
Does anyone know in HPT why it states the stock tire size as 23.47 which equals out to a 205-40-17 on the stock calibration? If you choose 215-45-17 which is our stock tire size then it comes out to 24.6.

i'd be curious what the SS/SC has for stock tires and/or shows in its ECM.

You could always measure the tires... besides, mfg. measurements aren't 100% exact. A 225/45 from one maker will not be the same as a 225/45 from another. Close, yes.

The balts are right on the money they have 215 45 18s stock and it calculates out just right, I think Saturn just was lazy from the 15-16 inch rims calibration.

I quit trying to get the calibration correct. I changed it and couldn't get the cruise control to work anymore.
I do know that someone made his 'slower' and now he has less miles than he should have. ;)

Doc changing the gear ratio like HPT does when you commit the changes from the tire size would be the reason for losing cruise. I bet if you set everything to stock settings and just let HPT change just the VSS current rating not the error too you might have a correct reading.
