Is this the same GB going on at the RL forums. The dual torque brace?
Edit: Just read other thread. Can you post pics please?

that lower brace is very intersting - i had the weapon-r on mine upper mount before i got the procharger. never seen a lower one like that.

Rice-Eater made that last revision. When we had the old Vita brackets that I was cutting by hand we noticed that the motor was kind of twisting when just the one side was blocked. By adding this second brace, it stabilized the engine a lot more and got rid of the torsional movement. I run that dual setup on my car with poly mounts and the vibration isn't horrible and I haven't seen wheel hop since.

damn if more ppl knew rice-eater was involved i bet you'd get some more interest :)

Have there been any more orders? you have a PM Torque Forward :D ... I can't believe how many people were interested and how few have said anything especially for the price and quality!! ... maybe we're just not seeing all the activity. Either way I'm in! Just don't know if I'm going upper alone or upper and lower

Ok I'll just ask you guys ... do I need a dual? With the exchange rate the way it is I was thinking I would see enough of a difference with just the upper but I'm not sure. As of right now I haven't done a ton of work, 2.9 pulley, tune coming soon, better wheels/tires and in the distant future possibly a better clutch and and a 45-50 wet shot ... but those are fairly far out until I get some cooling mods in.

I'd hate to miss out on good deal for a dual but I'd also like to keep the cost as reasonable and applicable to the existing mods :D

Thoughts?

you have more mods than me. im getting the dual cause i hate wheel hop (i always drove rwd before this) and i plan on modding more in the future. i want all the bracing i can get w/out having to deal w/ vibrations. plus the price on duals rivals the price on the ingalls single. i can understand money issues though and i think a single brace will definitely be benificial. also, order is not goin in til may 1st, so you could order 1 now, and if you can afford it, one next month.

All good points ... and you're bang on with the difference in cost for the Ingall ... for me it works out to about $210+CAD and I think the lowest I could get on an Ingall was about $225CAD. All in all it's a cheap mod I was just trying to figure out if I was going overkill. It's not like a couple hundred bucks will break me but I'm also getting $500 in tint and $2500 in wheels and tires lol ... just trying to balance it all out :D

... come to think of it ... I was going to have them shipped separately to even out shipping costs so paying for one this month and another one next month isn't a bad idea ... especially if the order isn't going in until May 1st. Thanks brokeline :p

The single brace will get rid of most of the wheel hop just fine but what we found was that the motor was still twisting when we placed load on it. The brace underneath keeps the engine pretty stable and dampens even more of the force from the engine. As far as how it'll handle road salt and what not, i'm not 100% sure. I live in MN but don't drive in the winter. So far I haven't had any problems with mine though. I imagine it'll be just like anything else under there. Get the under carriage washed occasionally and that should prolong its life.

Out of curiosity, what happened to the dual upper mount, is that still available?

Torque Forward

Those were made out of angle iron cut and drilled by me. They didn't fit 05+ vehicles due to the ridges on the motor mounts so we hired a machinist to do a new version. So unforuntately they're not available.

Just posting to let you guys know I'm still around. You guys can get away with making comments on RLF way more than I can. Good ways to do this (and they all involve reviving threads) are trying to find a "how to install" article and then mentioning there's a buy going on over here, finding it in the product reviews section and commenting on customer service thus far and mentioning sale, etc...I'd like to see you guys at least get the first discount but I'm stuck at 3 braces sold so far. If there's anything I can do to help, please let me know. My email is benjamin.henry@hotmail.com

Eh it's fine. I don't mind. I just hate to not meet any of the price breaks for the guys. I like things to be as cheap as possible.

I was wondering what an upper and lower are going for. I have never heard of Torque Forward until now so I missed the GB. oh well... if I get a single upper and lower will That be better than a dual upper only?

SpEnTBoY

got my upper installed today :D I'm not sure how the terminology is getting interpretted but ... I believe there was only a certain year/years that could have both dampers up top. Due to space/logistics on my 07 I have a single upper and may still bug TF for a lower depending on how this one handles ... so far it's night and day, seriously. Wheel hop I still had a bit even with LSD and ST bar and subframe brace ... I'm almost 100% sure all my hop is gone ... now my friggn clutch is slipping a bit LMAO!

Anyway ... the dual as it would have applied to me would have been a single upper and single lower (off the tran housing I believe) I did just the upper. SOLID brackets, none of that 1/8" or 1/16" tin crap :D
