got a little over 500 miles on the spec 3 now, and honestly im not sure if i like it. its alot more aggresive than stock obviously, but i think it maybe a bit much for me. a 2 or 2+ woud have probably been better, esp since i dont go to the track. maybe i just need to get used to it a little more. It took a day or two to learn how to drive the car with it. gotta get it into first just right or its a jerky start... seems to be smoother the higher i hold the rpms when letting the pedal out going into first, almost like the clutch wants me to launch the car all the time LOL. at first i thought somthing was wrong cause if you dont let the pedal out just right in first, and the rpms are low, it bucks like 3 or 4 times, its hard to explain, but i think its just cuz its so grabby. second bites hard as hell too. with the stock clutch it was like there was a zone with the pedal where the clutch started to engage and a couple inches later would be fully engaged, but with the spec it goes from not engaged at all to fully engaged in one little spot.

all in all i give it a 8 out of 10.

next on the list: bwoody mounts, and devils own meth injection(both sitting on my coffee table):hungry::hungry::hungry::hungry:

lol you don't go to the track?! shit i coulda told you go to w/ 2 or 2+ then.... 3+ is like, borderline streetable and if you never drag it then it's not really worth it.

hopefully it comes around for you tho. just start slipping it really bad and you'll wear it out to where you like it

I have the spec 3 and it doesnt get any better.
I have got a little over 30,000 on mine and it still likes to go.
First gear always needs a little gas to get out smooth.

not bad, I've just heard not so good things about trying to slip those spec clutches though. Personally I"m going with exedy

like i said, after paying the price for the 3+, and getting raped on the install, it makes the extra 300 or so for the exedy seem pretty insignificant. ill ride this one out for now, ill do exedy next time.

You'd have the same 1st gear woes w/ the Exedy. They both require a more aggressive launch, or it'll feel like you just wrong-holed your wife.

so what's the latest Ben - I still have my 3 sitting on the floor waiting for Jay to get some time, but I'm curious...

As my stocker get's worse and worse (with less than 10k miles on it) I'm thinking more and more about what I'm getting into with this Spec thing, once it finally gets installed...

Anyone seen/heard anything about the Centerforce unit that popped on their website a few weeks ago?

Does anyone have the 2+? That looks like the one I'll get when my stocker goes out.

its decent. i think my diff is fucked up so its hard to say, but it deff isnt slipping. if i could go back i would have gotten the exedy instead, but the 3+ is good.

its loud though. you can hear the clutch start to rubb when you start to let it out... like a ssshhhhhhhhh sound i never heard with the stocker.

x three

I'll take the x 4. hahahhaha, that was great....

New clutch is something I'll be needing soon. 46k on the stocker with 50+ track runs. I still am not sure of spec vs exedy. We have 1 of each in the club but I think I'm leaning towards exedy.
