Boose posted this a couple of weeks ago...The 372 is not whp, but crank hp...And I believe the 372 was made using the TVS 1100 or something, not the M62

Damnit, and I thought I had something useful... Het 372 is still very good... and it will not blow up like theother hacks that have been playing with the big guns. They talk about what goes into it quite nicely. I do not think they hid any numbers, and they were talking crank because they were suggesting it be used in a small 2-seater as a lightweight alternative, and get 30MPG to boot! Or sumpthin like that.
I think that would be b-dass in a t-bucket...

I've been saying this for years. One of these days, I'm going to build one.

Just picked up the copy of Hot Rod, and yes, it's awesome.
372HP from a stock LSJ longblock. They had custom cams, 69# "slim" injectors, a TVS, header, LS4 TB, and that's about it. And they ran it on 100 octane. They said with better valve springs, and a less restrictive intake manifold, maybe some head work, it could break 500HP easy, assuming the pistons hold up.
I'm all over it.

Did you see that there is a bell housing for rear-wheel drive conversion? Yeah... DROOL....
I know someone with a 550WHP mustang, and it is barely driveable. That is teh best part about this engine, you can make something small, light, have a shitload of power AND make it driveable. Really, there are not many pound for pound engines that can do that.
Did you see how sickly flay the torque curve is at stock w/ and exhaust? F-U turbo... that's all I have to say about that. I was not too crazy about the torque with just the comp cams, but when added to a larger blower, man did this engin become scary... And it never "overboosted" past stock or needed a build up... it was just as simple as making the engine breathe easier. *DROOL*

Totally agree. I've been wanting to throw an LSJ into an old '27 T roadster for years... you could use the Quad4rods bellhousing with a Chevy trans, or use the bellhousing and trans straight out of a Solstice or Sky. Would be even more killer to use the independent rear end from one, too.
One of these days... I will build one...

Good god, that dissolved into a pissing match rather quickly. Bunch of freaking retards, arguing which blower is better... do they not realize it doesn't freaking matter? They made 370+ HP on a stock LSJ longblock! None of the rest of their whining matters. LOL.
