The Stelvio Pass is considered to be the greatest road in the world.. granted it's in the Alp's...hahahahaha


But ya, that does suck

I actually heard this a long time ago.. don't remember where or if it was a warning that it was going to be shutdown

That bites....I've driven through there before not knowing the history or significance.

The local SCCA (autocrossing) group is doing something similar on highway 157 (Red Bluff Road) in Mississippi. It's about 15 miles one way, and works back and forth over the old Natchez Trace Parkway... from what I understand, they've had some exotics show up, and some photographers. I can't make the one this weekend (cause I'm moving) but expect to see pics in November when they do it again.
