Hey everybody I'm new to this site and the whole forced induction scene can someone please help me out with some questions I have about what I'm thinking about trying. I've been reading on different sites about the eaton superchargers and a buddy of mine has a perfect 99 gtp supercharger that he'll let me have very very cheap and I'm wandering if it will work with my 5.3? I read about how to modify the "M" series blowers and can do all of that easily. I know the M90 is a small displacement blower and will be limited to the amount if can flow due to that, but I'm not looking for a dramatic increase in power just want a good dependable towing rig without spending alot of money. I found on another site where a guy did this with a bone stock 5.3 and bone stock genIII M90 from a T-bird and gained around 60hp and 60ftlbs at the wheels and I'm wandering if I do those mods plus use a 2.6" pulley to give me a 2.90:1 drive ratio peaking at 15,950rpms @ 5500 engine rpms, 36# injectors, air to air innercooler would potentially yeild better results, all with supporting mods of corse. I'm wanting to install the supercharger like the Magnasun/whipple sidemounted units and run 3" plumbing from the blower into the inner cooler then into the engine.
Thanks,
