Well,
After designing a fool-prof er.... FAIL proof system for managing LED behavior in an automotive environment that will work on the LED's from 6V to 15V I went to work on getting them installed. The coolest part, each LED with the voltage management circuit and installation grommet was less than a buck...
The best part is unlike neon, the LED light is directional so with careful placement, when you are driving at you get no glare in your face from the light. the wiring was tricky and took some solder work, also the LED placement has to be measured and evaluated carefully depending on the angle you use. They are almost un-noticeable during the day and sit almost flush with each surface so they look "stock". The 90% comes from the lack of any in the door pockets. Ran out of daylight... I think it came out pretty good, any thoughts?
Quick Discriptions:
1) Front Seat shot
2) Angle from passanger side
3) Water Bottle FX
4) Looking into the back seat
5) Led's from the rear cupholders light up the roof

looks pretty good man. I did some of mine but ran in to the issue of the single led's burning out. I have a resistor on each LED but for some reason some of them just burn out. I'm not a pro with electrical so I dont know why. Any thoughts?
Here is what I have so far....

These pics dont show it well, but i have 4 in the back seats and 1 in each dash vent as well as a few others here and there. The center console will be next when i figure out why they keep dying

How hard is it to get into the AC vents?

How to coming. The resistor will not work because of parasitic AC issues and voltage swings. In the how to you will see I devloped a circuit that seems to be working very well (with the right LEDS) and they shoudl not burn out. Car electrical sucks....
BTW the how to is done (took me 2.5 hours!!!) I just have it in power point and I am waiting for BC3 to help me get it posted.

Screws??? Where be these screws you speak of?

Start with taking the side panels off where the door sensor is. Then take off the panel below the steering wheel that faces at a downward angle. That should reveal the screws that hold the front of the dashboard

Thanks. Total brain fart on the side panels coming off.

I am trying to get the how to posted! Then you will not have to worry about burn-out. I have had mine on for 48 hours at 14.5V straight when testing and they were just fine.
