He revved at me at a light and looked over. I rolled down the window and said "You know your going to kill be, right?" He replied, "I know, but I cannot even egg on the rice-rockets, at least you have a car I know is quick..."

I was suprise, he knew his shit. I said Ok and off we... well he went. By the time I was in 2nd he had a car-length on me.

He slowed to be even and gave me a thumbs up and then, man that thing looks great from behind.

Mind you I am stick except for a CAI.

yeah there was a 6-series at my old condo place... they are definitely sexy-ass cars... i had a feeling they were quick - but i wonder what a stg2+ redline would do against one

:disgust: Well on every other forum I have been in I ad to explain, so why the fuck would I expect things to be diffent here? I am dyslexic. It is something I fight everyday, and it it really comes through in my spelling. I have fought it and have always beaten it back but I cannot spell for shit. Spell check saves me, but I am not about to cut and paste everything I do on a casual forum become some dick (you not a dick, just an example) thinks he's high and mighty because he can spell the insted of "teh", or should insted of "shoudl"... or stock insted of stick. We will not even get into how many time I have to dial phone numbers before I get them right. Is it funny I am somewhat fucked up and sound like a 4th grader at times? Yes. hell if you don't roll with it, it'll kill you. But that's just all part of the fun... I am lucky though I coudl have a chronic case of asshole.... right? I look at it as more of a quirk because I certianly make up for it in my job, my live and what I have accomplished at 28 years old. SO you all get it now?

Not a good excuse, but when you match up with someone you know is ognna hand you your ass back in pieces and you still run them, I'm sure it's merely to experience that car's abilities. He indicated he barely got into second when the other left him. So I doubt they saw any significantly dangerous speeds. I would have done the same simply for the benefit of knowledge. I did that same thing a couple weeks ago against a 6.0 GTO. I knew I was out from the beginning. We talked for a second or two and when the light hit, I smelled my tires burn while I watched him leave me at the line. It lasted for maybe 4 seconds at the most. Again, not justifying it. But sometimes they don't even qualify as a race. This could be chalked up as a display of speed if a ticket were to be written. Good lookin' out tho!

I agree-a stop light grudge match af that duration isn't much of a street race. I've had a few hand me my ass light to light-I like catching folks on the e-way....the RL really shines when you can get it to about 80+. The 650 I took ran away from me from about 50 until we closed in on 110, then I walked away from him. It was at night with traffic in our vicinity of no factor-it woulda been well worth the ticket just because I got to stomp on an over priced yuppiemobile.
