View Full Version : How do YOU use EI?

So I'm just curious how everybody uses the forums... particularly when you're hanging out watching for new posts and whatever. I've added poll options that I know i've used for different vB forums (depending on their features) but if you do something that I haven't listed, please mark "Other" and write a post.

For once I'm not being a dick. This is what I do. Since we don't have that many users, I'll close the window and log back in after a little while.

right but i guess the Q is how do you find out what new posts are up or what you want to read / catch up on?

I refresh the home page and check "new post", if it does not show up there I will just scroll down or if I remember the title of the thread. I will do a search

I subscribed to the page on my browser, i just check that for new posts before i log in.

in light of the votes so far i thought the guys that reload the new posts or active topics pages would appreciate the shoutbox being available there as well, so I went ahead and did that just now.

that's some sort of bug / conflict w/ vB and one (or more) of the mods i've got installed. it'd be a super pain to find out what's causing it, and i tried to a while back.

Try it again. I hope it takes like two days. That way, I won't have to see a new post only to find out it's a Codeproject interesting read thingy that really isn't interesting at all.
