The shifter cost 40 bucks shipped off of ebay, only a few things had to be modded to get it to fit. Also no more reverse lockout feature, so it is a little bit harder to get into 5th. But all in all can't beat 40 bucks, and I am currently trying to figure out a way that I can make the reverse lockout work again. Let me know if you want me to tell you how its done!

not bad homie, how do you like it? noticing the shorter shift? fucking w/ your speedshift yet? :D
what do u mean by it's more difficult to get into 5th w/o the reverse lockout? i don't follow as the shift pattern doesn't look like it'd be affected by that... :freak: plus the qc doesn't have reverse lockout and it was no thang for me......

Yea the shifting is def. a little bit shorter and the overall shifter is shorter. It is a lot tighter than the stock one. Its harder to get into 5th because the reverse lock out prevents the shifter from going to far to the right. So without it the shifter actually goes past 5th, so you have compensate.

??? rl shift pattern=
1 3 5
2 4 R???
qc shift pattern was
1 3 5
2 4 R...
i was under the impression the RL used the same as the QC and the lockout prevented the downward motion of the shifter to get into R. But you're saying there's a sideways motion required as well? interesting...

Cut the plastic tab off that you have to lift the lockout to get over on the shifter itself. Does that make sense?
Basically, when you lift the lockout ring it raises over a small plastic beam on the shift housing. Cut that part off and it can go all the way over without raising anything.

i understand how the reverse lockout works, just it has to be modified to run the reverse lockout. But i can do without it, not hard at all to find 5th

install was easy, just had to trim up some things so the shifter ball would fit.
