Hey guys, just as a feeler, would anyone be interested in a set up very similar to this for there Cobalt or RL?

DDMWorks who deals right now with Miata, Mini, Sky and Solstice is looking at possibly getting this set up and offered to us as well. They want a feel of what people's thoughts are on this.
Since we are very limited in a-pillars or steering pods, etc, thought this may be a great option for anyone that wants the sleek location of gauges.
Post up your thoughts and I will get back to them on it.
Thanks.

that pic looks like it's in a Sky?
FYI it looks like it would also work in an Aura possibly :)

that should be in their supercharged solstice. Which just laid down approx 236hp/245tq to the wheels on 9psi of boost. This was the first time its been re-dynoed with the intercooler setup.
as far as working in the Aura, I am not sure of that but I will mention it to them to consider. You think there would be any interest from the Aura group?

tq > hp? on an s/c setup? nice! i'm assuming it's the 2.4L version? i thought it was a sky cuz that steering wheel is exactly like the aura's :)
nobody's done anything big w/ an aura yet, but i certainly plan to. the 3.6L puts down 250hp to the crank so i'm looking to turbo or procharge it and see what i can come up with.
probably not for a while though.

It would be nice to have that option for the Cobalts. If I had that setup I could run my WB, EGT and boost down there and leave the stock location for an interceptor...
My only issue w/ it is that the Cobalt Dash doesn't face toward the driver so I'd have to use digital gauges so I could read them from my position...

yea they are running an mp62 and intercooler setup on the 2.4l. Before the intercooler and running on only 5psi boost, they were getting into the lower 14s in the 1/4 mile. (195hp/195tq at that time) Their beta car is the only one intercooled right now and haven't gotten to the track to test it yet.

I will mention it to them about this and see if they were to go with this, to possibly see if they could angle the openings towards the driver's vision.

i'm guessing you meant m62 (s/c that's on the RL) but sounds like a cool setup. i'm itching to boost the aura, but wanna wait until i'm at least close to the warranty on it :D

the m62 that is on the RL would not work with their setup since the intake portion of the blower would put it through the firewall. I think it is the MP62 that they are using though. they have it posted on their website under the sky and solstice. DDMWorks (http://www.ddmworks.com)

Not for me. I perfer to have my gauges as close to the road as possible. That way I can keep more of my eyes on the road when I'm checking them.

for those interested in price. They would sell at the same as what they sell their others for. $90
Also correction in color. stainless or powdercoated black.

That looks like a nice piece, and it should fit any new GM vehicle with the corporate "black tie" radio.

that looks like a nice setup, if they could make one to fit between the radio and the ac controls
