Hi, I'm new here but I've been on Cobaltss.net for some time now. Just thought I'd check out all the other lsj forums.

Welcome to the site. What are your plans for you Cobalt? You know modding is inevitable and that resistance is futile.

already done the airbox mod. lol. couldn't wait. 2.79 Cobalt Addiction pulley, 60lb injectors, cobra heat exchanger, Meth injection, hp tuners. I'm gonna tune it with a friend with a 7500 rpm redline. That's why I went with the 2.79, It's the smallest pulley that won't overspin the blower over 16,000rpms and I can still use the full potential of the stock valvetrain. I don't wanna say 300 but somewhere close to that in whp would be nice, I would like at least 270ft/lbs of tq. I'll keep the stock intake but I'm gonna go with a custom header/back catless exhaust with magnaflow muffler. probably 2.5" piping. Not sure on the header I want yet.

sounds like you've done your research. 7500's a bit high in my mind, 7250 might be a bit safer for ya ;) but yeah i'm sure w/ the meth inj and hpt you'll be laying down some nice #s. get vids & charts from your dynos!

yea, I've been running the numbers. once I get all that, it'll probably stay like that unless I put some spray on it. Like a 50 shot or something simple. When eaton comes out with the tvs and it's bolt on, I'd like to get that. But for now, looks like I'll be waiting on the whipple that's in testing to be finished and for sale.

7500 is high...I set mine for 7400 and that's pushing it, not to mention I have a 2.5".
With a 2.8" I'd go for 7400 or below....trust me, the power you'll make that high will be negated by the heat created. A second HE or the dual pass (or both) will help, but meth will set it off :D

yea I know heat is a killer, that's why most people aren't making the power that they think they should be. That's also why I'm going with meth, dual pass, AND h/e. I'm doing all three to negate heat and make sure I can come close to that 300whp mark as well as using the full potential of the full motor.
Doc, I know that you know what you are doing, but just make sure you aren't killing your blower, cause a 2.5" @ 7400 rpms is definitely over the 16000rpm mark on the blower.
