Ok so i used to work at Chevy and i had a tech print me out the how to on the tranny fluid change i will be hand typing what he printed so if there are any question feel free to PM me.
1. Remove the left front wheel
2. Raise and suitably support the vehicle.
3. Clean away all dirt and debris from the transmission fluid drain plug area. I would reccomend the use of brake cleaner but a rag could also be used.
4. Remove the drain plug which is located on the bottom of the transmission.
5. Let the transmission drain out all the fluid.
6. Reinstall the drain plug and tighten to 28 lb ft.
7. Remove the level check plug which is located a little bit above the drain plug.
8. Fill the transmission with the proper fluid until eve with the bottom ofthe fill plug hole.
9. Install the level check plug and tighten to 28 lb ft.
10 Reinstall the left front wheel and feel free to start the car.
One suggestion would be that after starting let the car idle for 2-5 minutes before driving. Also never check the fluid when the transmission is hot always do this cold.

yeah the fluid is good to 100,000 miles or so. I saw the post and thought it said how to change a tranny, once I saw how short the post was.... well... yeah lol.

and as for the tranny I've swapped a few if anyone needs any pointers.

what are the specs on the tranny fluid for the lsj's...I assume your running synthetic fluids. What weight/type are you running?

a few quotes on other boards I found:
so ive been running synchromesh<sp?>, and this guy told me that the lsd equipped LSJ's are supposed to use dexron III <auto tranny fluid> and the non lsd LSJ's are supposed to use SLF<sp?>. so i called an ass load of saturn and chevy dealerships and they were right! Mind u, i swapped my tranny fluid less then 1k miles ago, i emmediately flushed the fuck out of my tranny with about 20qts of dexIII. and u know what... the tranny shifts as crisp as it did when it was new! ...
Trannies... EEEWWWW...

Anyways, yeah. I'm planning on using Mobil 1 Synthetic ATF. I of course don't NEED to change my fluid, I just feel like it. I gotta change my oil, and flush my brakes to DOT 4, so I might as well take another 10 minutes to do the trans fluid. I'm almost at 15k!!!
i used B&G synchroshift in my transaxle. Diaqueen (lol, trannies are funny) in the LSD (center & rear diff) trans shifts like butta...

Whats the SFL fluid because i do not belive that the 04 redlines had an LSD. And all 3 guys appear to be running 2 different things, ATf and syncroshift (I am assuming is synchromesh).
