why try to compete with RME???

Im not trying to "compete", RME is more of a "Cobalt Club" i want somthin that's more geared towards ALL LSJ's...

not to mention it's an anything club really, there's everything from ecotec's to LS1's in the club... don't get me wrong, im a member and all, but i want to get somthing more "LSJ exclusive"

Feel me?

That and every time i try to setup a meet here in the springs no one is interested or shows up, it's completely one sided... it's hard for me to make it to denver all the time but i do try and this year ill be attending quite a few of the RME meets if the bank account permits, but id like to have some local meets too... i dont want to have to drive to denver every time i want to go to a meet...

besides, we don't have an LSJA here, so why not start one?

ok - point taken...I guess I'm looking at it from the standpoint of numbers - and let's be honest, the online presence of LSJs (cobalts or RLs) is dismal, at best 'round these parts.

That said, I kind of think that's where RME made its stance..."let's organize the largest market we can (ecotecs) and improve our numbers/exposure". True, they've come to let anybody and everybody in - which I think is a driving force for recent talks of further generalizing the "name" somehow.

Anyway, I'm not against the idea, and it's goal...I just don't think there's enough ppl out there to justify another club of any kind within the same "market". Who says you can't still have meets under the RME banner down in the Springs? A new/different "name" isn't going to change the attendance issues - it's all about marketing and timing...and I know how the "song" goes - I co-founded SCRLA in CA a couple summers ago, which enjoyed a solid summer of car fun...but in the end, encountered the same "attendance" issues you speak of.

I'd like it if there was one in southern NV too. I'd love to meet up with some fellow LSJ peeps. Maybe race, maybe eat pancakes!

There's acctualy been quite an uprising in the LSJ presence here in the springs lately, it's kinda wierd... so far ive seen at least 6 cobalts that were modded and a couple redlines, one of which the owner races in SCCA across the country.
Im gonna try to get somthin started up.
