As long as you don't have to drive the car.
whats the best thing to cover the motor after its off?
Stuff a clean towel into the intake manifold, to keep dirt from falling in.

You shouldn't have to, unless you tear one.

Not sure on a number, but they're going into aluminum... shouldn't need to torque it down extremely tight or you might strip a thread.
should i change the oil in it?i have 17,500 miles
Eaton says the oil should be good for over 100,000 miles.

No problem. We'd love to see progress pics!

He changed subjects. He's trying to get the valve cover also polished and was trying to get the COP cover off. The fuel rail cover shares the same bolts as the COP cover (iirc).
edit***rather the two bolts for the fuel rail cover are shared by the valve cover itsel. Had to look up one of my older pictures to find it.

Do you have any e-z outs? If you do you should have one that might bite enough to remove them and then just get them replaced.

So did you try to remove them?

When I try to take some out and they stick, I do two things. I get a bigger torx bit and apply downward pressure while turning or get an allen wrench and do the same thing.
