View Full Version : Blown downpipe gasket!

I've had problems with the downpipe on this car since I bought it last year. The stock flex-joint piece broke in half, and it was replaced under warranty. A few months later, I noticed it was louder than usual, and sure enough, the downpipe gasket has blown through. I'm pretty sure it's because they didn't torque it down correctly, but who knows... hopefully the new tranny mounts will cut down on the flexing stress and keep this from happening again.

SMM's FTW!!! I guess I've been real lucky with mine. Of course it has less than 12,000 miles on it and it's 2 1/2 yrs. old.
