Been working on getting new mods & features added to the board: Mouseover a username on the front page that's showing as "online" and it'll pop up a little blurb telling you what they're doing
Whenever moderation is done on anything you own, you'll automagically be sent a PM
Searching for a thread will also show you the thread rating
Spell checker (by clicking the spell check button) on any posting area
Alert to tell you if somebody has posted in the thread you're creating a reply to
Can have attachments to private messages
Large images in posts automagically resized
Added HPTuner files to accepted attachments
Added MegaSquirt project files to accepted attachments
Increased filesizes of attachments to more realistic numbers :DIf you have problems w/ any of these, post here.

i just added a little icon next to ppl listed in the "who's online" area of the main page that will show everybody what browser you use. it looks like it takes a bit of time to kick in, so don't sweat the big ol' question mark next to your name if that's what's showing ;)

Just added the Autosave mod. This will autosave any post or PM you're typing every minute. It works per thread (IIRC) and should save a lot of aggravation :)

If you have pictures you'd like to store in the gallery here on EI, but don't necessarily think they should be included in the Random rotation at the top of the forum listing, etc, put them in the "NoShow" category under Member Galleries.

Keep in mind this doesn't make them invisible to other users, this category can still be browsed, and your photos can still be seen. It also only keeps them from showing up in the "Random Thumbs" areas that are "public" - the Random Thumbs on your profile page will still include these in its rotation.

Hope y'all get it, post up if ya don't. I'll create an appropriate FAQ entry for this as well.

the forum does its "promotions" i think once an hour... so it may take a few minutes after hitting 10 posts for you to get the corresponding priveleges.

I made the spam bot detector auto-ban the IP addresses and registration e-mail addresses of the bots it detects. the site has gone from 30+ spam bot registration attempts every day to about 5 over a weekend :rocker:

For many years I never ran an antivirus program. Never had any issues...go figure. Now, with my wife surfing the web, I have all kinds of mysterious crap on the puter. I think I need to block her access to the entire web :lol:

Also, the FAQ is updated routinely as features / options get added, so you may want to peruse through it to find answers / how-to's to thinks you're unsure about.

This place is definitely one of the best car forums around... I've passed on the link to some of the much bigger forums I frequent, and they liked a lot of what was going on here. They included the arcade, and a few other things.

This forum just plain rocks. And you'll never beat my Donkey Kong score, either. ;)

Well we got upgraded to vb 3.7.4pl1. Also, I have fixed the Casino. Incidently, we now have "Sports betting" available! If anybody would like to volunteer to administer adding sporting events to this area so people can bet on them that'd be great. I imagine you'll also have to go in and record the outcome and also offer up possible outcomes to choose from (be it winner, spread, etc)

PM me if you're interested. I don't pay attention to too many sports so if nobody volunteers it won't be too active of a Casino area.

Added "minitube" to user profiles - you can link to your YouTube page and pull random videos that you've posted to YouTube right in to your profile on here

Also found a new mod for the "pull page titles from links" so if you post a link now and it doesn't go grab the page title correctly right away or w/in a few minutes, let me know.
