It's on like Donkey Kong...
Fuel Pressure Regulator - ordered and paid for...$140 shipped
Fuel Pressure Sensor kit (for Interceptor gauges) - ordered and paid for...$82 shipped
Walbro GSS342 Fuel Pump - (will be ordered)...$80
Fuel Check Valve - (will be ordered)...$60
Still gotta make decisions on fittings and fuel hose/lines (and maybe sleeves)...

I knew there was a better way to go than the one offered on .net

My kit won't even compare - the check valve and the FPG integrated w/ the interceptors will be WELL worth the cash, and will come in around $175 less than the kit...at least.

So I'm learning...right now, 4 fittings (I think that's all I'll need), will run me $50. :freak:

FINALLY got my fuel pressure guage from Aeroforce - only took them 3 weeks...
So, gotta order the fuel pump, which I'll do over the weekend (probably), and then the fuel line/fittings. I already know where I'm getting the fuel line, but still shopping the fittings...
Coming along though...I anticipate an install by the end of the month.

i found Google Product Search (http://www.froogle.com) was my best friend when trying to find the lowest price on the fittings.

Of course, if you're like me, you won't find much even that way if you don't know what fittings to look for to begin with. I can assemble anything if you tell me exactly what parts I need and all. But for me to be competent enough to figure out all the right sizes, I'd be lost quickly. So, MGM, when you get this all figured out, list all the parts needed from A to Z and us stupid non-researching people can buy this too!

looks like the line that, on the L61 runs back behind then comes up to the fuel rail.

I dunno - I looked last night, and they just don't seem to match in my head...
Anyway, until the pump, filter, and check valve show up I won't know for sure, but my rough plans for fittings and adapters came in at $150 :freak:
Current budget has me sitting just shy of $550 - so the fittings and whatnot will probably put me at $700...but, I added the check valve ($70) and the FP Sensor kit for the interceptors ($82). Woulda been nice to land those deals on the FPR and the pump - coulda saved me another $50 right there.
When everything's said and done, I'll throw up my parts list and stuff - maybe someone out there has an in somewhere that can piece the kit together for less with "good guy" discounts.
I'm excited though...gotta hurry up and get all this shit together and tuned before it starts snowing again - snow in Ft. Collins today, I'm not even kidding.

yeah, someone posted that for me in the local forums - I've essentially mirrored that kit, with a couple upgrades.

This would really interesting to see how much it staves off burst knock.

If I can remember, I plan on doing a couple good logging sessions of normal daily driving (with some moments of spirit) before/after the install. Should be a decent comparison.

I dunno - I looked last night, and they just don't seem to match in my head...only thing that made me say that was that connecting end w/ the "built-in washer" on it. pretty well identical on both setups.

the Check Valve, Interceptor FP sensor kit, Aeromotive inline filter, and the top of the line fuel injection line by Goodyear (per my friend)

so, check valve and fuel filter came in yesterday...anyone see any reason why I couldn't connect the two together directly - rather than spacing them out some. (would save me some fittings and whatnot)

ok, so got together with a buddy over the weekend, and he had a friend of his there that's got experience with building comp drag cars. The 3 of us put our heads together and planned the whole install out - mainly to make sure I ordered the correct fittings and whatnot...but we got to doing some tests - the fuel rail pressure was a consistent 58 psi. Then we got to looking at the 2.2 rail I picked up for the conversion, and saw that there was a tube running through it. Once we figured out what it was, we modded the rail to pull it completely out - thinking we could increase our volume...
So, the next step is to install THAT rail (assuming the LSJ rail has the SAME tube running the length of the rail) to see if it affects the fuel flow any. If we see the results we're expecting, we may not go with the whole conversion and just upgrade the pump and filter...we'll see.
*anyone know if the LSJ rail has that feed line running through it?

are you running a surge tank? is the return line going to the surge tank?
what size injectors are you feeding?
and do you have a pick-up pump intank to feed the surge tank, if you are going to run one
